Gerry Costello - Shell Regulatory Affairs Manager
ROCHE have used Niall’s process safety services for the project phase of a ‘new product introduction’. Work was consistently completed in a detailed manner yet a practical and ‘work with’ approach to process safety was evident in day to day interactions across the engineering team. Work streams included HAZOP/LOPA participation and reviewing/developing the Basis of Safety for processes involving reactive chemistry. Niall also provided a detailed Hazardous Area Classification and Risk Assessment for the site’s Process Streams, in addition to an awareness training session on “ATEX – Electrostatics”. During the project, the support from Niall displayed very high standards of professionalism.
Eoin Cleary - Roche Director MSAT & SHE
Our company commissioned Mr Lawlor on 3rd July 2009 to provide a Risk Assessment for a newly installed Biomass Boiler system, in order to check compliance with the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations.
The process of completing the Risk Assessment required Mr Lawlor to carry out technical inspections of the system, it’s operating environment, it’s fuel, research the equipment design, assess system management procedures and liaise with Client and technical representatives.
Throughout Mr Lawlor's site visits, meetings, emails and verbal communications we found him to be very professional, thorough, competent, methodical and patient. This approach was also reflected in the detailed, clear and concise Risk Assessment Report produced by Mr Lawlor.
We would highly recommend Mr Lawlor to other Client's seeking advice in Mr Lawlor's area of expertise.
As a result of the confidence we have in Mr Lawlor's high level of service provision we have returned to him for further DSEAR Risk Assessments and guidance.
